You will meet this bearded creature on this scavenger hunt...

Now then, your mission, if you choose to accept it...

  1. Make your way to Point #34 on this map. You will see two boardwalks in this area. What is the body of water that flows under these wooden planks?
  2. Head west and find the trail head to the Atlanta Beltline Interim Hiking Trail. It is denoted as "Beltline Commons Entrance" on this map. This location should remind you of a famous church in London. What is the name of that church? What reminded you of that church? EXTRA CREDIT: What is the official name of the Beltline segment that runs through this area? Where does it begin and where does it end?
  3. Head south. Stop atop the wooden bridge and observe the body of water that appears below you. In which direction is it flowing? EXTRA CREDIT: The area you are standing in right now was reclaimed during an expansion of Piedmont Park. What was the name of that expansion and in which year was it completed? How many acres did this expansion add to Piedmont Park?
  4. Continue southward. Several hundred yards down the trail, you will come face to face with a bearded creature that has seven eyes and three mouths. Do not proceed until you find that creature. What is the creature's name? Who created him? EXTRA CREDIT: Art on the Atlanta Beltline kicks off each year with a brightly colored event. What is the name of that event and in which month does it occur?
  5. Continue southward along the interim hiking trail. Keep your eyes, ears and nose peeled on the creek that flows parallel to the trail you are on. Record what you see, hear and smell.
